Wine of the Week: Las Mulas Sauvignon Blanc Reserva Organic

I got back from Colombia a few days ago and I’m experiencing a bit of tropical heat withdrawal. As I look out the window onto the 5 inches of snow and frozen lake, it seems pretty clear that we’ll not be getting hot temps anytime soon in Canada! So, I will escape back to summer weather with wine. If you don’t have any upcoming tropical destinations in your calendar, I welcome you to join me in my wine escape!

Nothing screams hot weather more to me than a Sauvignon Blanc. And since I was just in Colombia, I thought that a South American Sauvignon Blanc would be most appropriate. So the wine of the week is the Las Mulas Sauvignon Blanc Reserva Organic from Chile. I tried this budget friendly white wine several years ago and have been drinking it ever since. It’s a great value wine that packs all the yummy flavours and characteristics of a more expensive Sauvignon Blanc, but at a much less expensive price point of only $14.95. The Las Mulas Sauvignon Blanc is an extra dry white wine with crisp acidity and lots of flavour. You’ll taste tropical fruits, bright citrus and dried herbs. And, bonus, this wine is organic! I’ll be enjoying it tonight with this seafood linguine recipe from Fraiche Living. So this week, pour yourself a big glass of the Las Mulas Sauvignon Blanc Reserva Organic and escape to the tropics!
