My wine of the week, the Kim Crawford Rosé, was a delightful surprise! I had tried their Sauvignon Blanc many times, but had not ventured beyond that with Kim Crawford wines. But I’m happy that I finally did! On one of my trips to the LCBO, a wine rep was sampling the Kim Crawford Rosé. It was love at first sip! From Hawk’s Bay, one of New Zealand’s oldest wine regions, the Kim Crawford Rosé is made from Merlot and Malbec grapes. It’s a lovely soft Rosé with refreshing flavours of watermelon, strawberry and citrus. I paired this wine with grilled calamari over a light salad and it was an amazing combination! The Kim Crawford Rosé is regular $17.95 at the LCBO, but is on sale until May 26 for $15.95. New Zealand is known for their Sauvignon Blanc, but Kim Crawford sure knows how to make a pink drink!
