I can get the all the autumn flavours, but served cold to beat the heat.
Red Wine Slushie
The Fresh Red Wine Slushie is the perfect excuse to start drinking red wine this fall…even in the 30+ degree weather. The recipe combines 1 cup of ice; 2 cups of Fresh Perspectives Satin Red wine; and 2 tablespoons of pomegranate syrup. Blend for 10 seconds, pour into a large wine glass and enjoy! If you can’t find pomegranate syrup, don’t worry, fresh Ontario berries will work just as well. Get this wine at the Lakeview Winery or at the LCBO for $12.95.
White Wine Slushie
The Fresh White Wine Slushie is made with the Fresh Crisp White wine. What I love about this wine is it’s flavours of green apple and pear, which I associate with early autumn. Combine 1 cup of ice; 2 cups of Fresh Crisp White; and 2 tablespoons of peach syrup. Blend for 10 seconds, pour into a large wine glass and enjoy! You may not be able to find peach syrup, but should have no problem finding fresh Ontario peaches to add. Get this wine at Lakeview Winery or at the LCBO for $12.95.
